CALL FOR SPECIAL SESSIONS PROPOSAL

SPECIAL SESSIONS PROPOSAL

The IEEE International Conference on Artificial Intelligence for Green Energy (ICAIGE26) will be held in Kuwait and aims to bring together researchers, engineers, and practitioners from academia and industry to discuss cutting-edge innovations and emerging technologies in artificial intelligence, renewable energy systems, smart grids, electric vehicles, and sustainable energy management.

Co-located with the 3rd Symposium on Smart, Sustainable, and Secure IoT (S4IoT’26), ICAIGE26 offers a rich platform for exchanging ideas at the intersection of AI, IoT, and energy technologies.

Scope and Objectives

Special Sessions provide a unique opportunity to focus in detail on emerging or cross-disciplinary topics that are not fully covered by the main technical tracks or that represent fast-evolving research fields.

These sessions enable researchers to share recent advances, foster collaboration, and explore innovative directions in AI-based green energy applications and digital transformation of energy systems.

Proposal Content

Each Special Session proposal should include the following information (as detailed in the official MS Word template) :

Title of the Special Session

Brief description (~200 to 250 words) highlighting the relevance, innovation, and importance of the topic within the scope of ICAIGE26.

Organizers’ details – Names, affiliations, and contact information of 2 to 3 organizers (multi-institutional and multi-national teams preferred). Include a short biography or expertise summary for each organizer.

List of potential authors and their affiliations.

List of potential reviewers (minimum 10) and their affiliations.

Organization of Special Sessions

Once approved, organizers are responsible for publicizing their session, attracting quality submissions, and overseeing the review process.

All papers submitted to Special Sessions will undergo the same peer-review process as regular papers.

Organizers must ensure at least three independent reviews per paper, selecting reviewers based on expertise and avoiding conflicts of interest.

Free Conference Registration

At least one organizer of each accepted Special Session is expected to register for and attend the conference, as well as chair the corresponding session. One complimentary full registration will be granted to successful Special Sessions that include at least five accepted papers not authored by any of the organizers.

Conflict of Interest Policy

Before beginning the review process, organizers must explicitly declare any conflicts of interest (e.g., if they are authors or co-authors of submitted papers).

Such conflicts must be communicated to the Special Sessions Co-Chairs, who will ensure an independent and fair review process.

Session Chairs

Once a Special Session is accepted, the organizers will serve as Session Chairs during the conference.

In exceptional cases, the Technical Program Chairs or General Chairs may designate alternative chairs if organizers are unable to attend.
